|
|
my neighbour has recently had heating installed and i am concerned about the position of flue.We are semi detached and the flue distance measures 282mm from the boundary line(centre of semis) to the edge of the flue.It is also very near, although not horizontal or vertical to his kitchen window.
The phlume is terrible and no consideration has been given to us.
I have photos of this.
Can anyone help. |

Yes a photo would be good.
Any idea what boiler it is. although it's an illegal install at those measurements anyway. |

You can email them to either thescruff or me.
Regarding the neighbours flue however have you thought about how far you wish to take it? It is almost certain that you can have it relocated but it might mean a little 'agro'. |

What would be the best solution?
I've emailed scruff the photos and i would appreciate any answers to the problem.
the position of flue is unacceptable(if illeagle)but can't it be put vertical up through his kitchen, bedroom and through loft? that would stop the phluming.
but if it is a cowboy job(no name on van),how safe is it.
does the phluming have any affect on your health? |

If I were you I would
1. take a trip down to your local building control as the flue appears to close to the boundry and too close to openings within the structure of the building for such itms as window frames etc.
2. Contact enviromental health regarding the 'nuisance' caused by the flue emmissions.
3. Contact CORGI to get installation checked. |

| that flue is definately in the wrong possition, from that window not knowing the biler size, but they have to be anything from 300mm to 600mm. your neigbour will have to have the flue rerouted |
