There are two ensuites and one bathroom in our house but this only happens in the main bathroom.
Whenever the toilet is flushed a really loud noise similar to the QE2 sounding off, vibrates through the house. Just by chance, I noticed then when I turned on the cold tap in the sink next to the toilet that the sound faded away. This didn't happen when the hot tap was turned on. Once the cistern was nearly full, the noise stopped.
This can be very annoying because of the loudness and very embarrasing when a visitor uses the toilet. Embarassed

Have you any suggestions please?

Cheers

Mull

Try cleaning/replacing float valve.
