Hi Guys hope you can help,
I have just put in a new bathroom this weekend and during this time I had switched the water off to do the change over.
Once reconnected I have found that I have no cold water, I have a header tank in the loft and all valves are open but no water is coming from the tank.
What could be causing the problem, and is it expensive to fix? |

Are we talking hot and cold.
Did you turn any gate valves off as these can break.
Does the wheel head just keep turning.
Otherwise an air lock or blockage.
Have you an aerator on the spout of the new tap if so unscrew it and try/clean |

It's an air blockage, I/'m a plumber and I have this happen quite frequently.
To get rid of this attach a hose to the mains (e.g outside tap or tap in kitchen) then attach the other end to the cold atp that isn't working. Next, open the cold tap that isn't working, then open your mains tap. the pressure will force the air blockage back in to the header tank. |
