a crack has developed in my inhibitor so it needs to be changed
does the central heating system need to be drained down
or just the mains water turned off???
any help appreciated

If it's fitted on the mains water pipe going into the boiler then all you need to turn off is the main stopcock

If you turn the cold valve off on the boiler as well it will stop any backflow, keeps you a little drier.

thanks for advice..all done now Wink

the inhibitor is located close to the boiler
would you recommend fitting one near to the stopcock
as it enters the house
would this improve drinking water quality?????
if so which type would be suitable
