I flushed a plastic item in the toilet. I need to retrieve this item. I have only flushed the toilet once. How do I go about getting this item back.

If its not in the pan you can assume its lost.

If your really lucky (unlikely) you could block the channel in the last inspection chamber and flush the wc a few times to see if it got left behind

Thank you for the advice. We found the item in the last chamber. Had we not found it in the last chamber, your advice about blocking and flushing would have been a great help had the item not gone through the system yet.
