Hi newbie here,
just a quick question. We live in a rented property and have a boiler due for its 1 year check up in about a month. We can see the flame through a viewing window, the flame is blue but where it ignites from has become quite 'carbonised' and that part glows orange. Is this cause for concern and should we be doing anything now about it or will it be ok to wait for the service???

Should be alright and saying that, "Everyone should buy an Carbon Monoxide alarm" as a matter of personal safety.

Could be the best £25-30 quid you ever spend.
