Hi

I've been putting in a new shower and had to replace the existing waste pipe with new stuff, except where it goes into the stack which I've left and don't want to disturb. The straight push-fit connector i bought to connect the new waste pipe (40mm) to the old won't fit onto the old pipe. The old pipe was all solvent weld. Will a compression fitting be able to connect solvent weld pipe to push-fit pipe?

Thanks!

You may have to change the sealing washer for a red one on the pushfit side, but try it first
