|
|
2 weeks ago I fitted thermostatic vales to all radiators except for 1 which I left as a bi-pass rad. I drained the system down, re-filled and bled all rads.
In the main all has been working OK since. The occasional noise caused by air. Re-bled rads over a few days of running.
I now have a problem with my Potterton Suprima 60 boiler. The boiler is OK on H/W. On C/H the boiler cuts in for about 2 mins and then shuts down and the green light flashes. The boiler cuts back in, runs and shuts down again with green light flashing. The flow pipe is hot whereas the return pipe is cold. The upstairs radiators warm up almost to operating temp where the ground floor mainly remain cold. The odd one gets warm but not hot. All TRV are full open. I repalced the pump yesterday.
I am guessing it is caused by an air lock somewhere in the pipes.
Any suggestions gratefully received. |

| I would think it sounds like an airlock as well |

I drained the system last night and re-filled. I went round the rads in a methodical way and bled each in turn.
All now up and running. |
