| Am i in the wrong? I am walking up the road and i see in the distance a girl back into my old volvo440, riping of the back bumper, breaking the back light and leaving a dent and then drive of. I saw the house she backed out of but she drove of so quick i didnt get the REG number, i went to the house and spoke to her mother and i said "I dont want anyone to get in trouble but somone has to pay for my car to get fixed. she said "she will ring you when she gets home" she seemed ok. I put the bumper in my car and drove home, Then the father rang me so i drove back and he tried telling me my car is old and rusty and i dont need to get the dent fixed and he can find the bits for it in a very machow manner and his big tatood friend looking down at me. i say i dont like you atitude mate. your daughter drives into my car drives of and your trying to tell me my car is ****, he said i should be carful and im the one with the atitude. i say lets go to the repare shop together and see how much it costs, ok with hate in his eyes saying to me follow me in my car. He drives to his mate that says £250 but i cant get a old light like that and i cant fix it before easter, i say gust give me the money and i will get it done. WHAT you want the efing car fixed do it hear, no just give me the money and i will do it the way i want to. ok were do you live i will bring it around later, The whole time he was speaking to me like i was a idiot and he looked like he was going to hit me the whole time! I was trying to be calm, dont know why but thats the way i am. i go home and wait and wait it got to 8pm and i had to go out so i rang the number on my phone and its his daughter! I say " you allright" she says What do you want, your dad said he would bring the money around? " NO he didnt and I aint giving you efing £250 so you can go and buy youself some new clothes!!!. "Im not going to buy clothes and what diffrence does it make,pay the work shop or pay me and if i go to the police your going to be paying a lot more.she says "I will say i didnt do it because nobody saw what happend. I got the number from her father and phoned him and he just hang up on me. I went to there house to see if her car was there and it was so i took i pictue of the damage and REG and her mother came out and saw me!!!! What the f... are you f...... doing its against the f...... law to take piks of our car just f... off. then the daughter rings me on my way home and said "what the f... do you think your doing if you want me to send somone to pay you a visit just carry on! i said " I feel like your taking the micky out of me so i wanted the REG and a picture of the damage. she said "just p... off!" I cant belive all this! they are talking to me like i am in the wrong because i wanted the money and not to get it fixed from his mate. What shall i do? i know its going to be very hard to get any money. or do you think i am in the wrong? Not forgeting not one person said sorry for what happend! and the whole time they were speaking to me like, i dont knowhow to put it, like antisocial scum that think they rule the world. I will make a comment but it is in no way an professional one.
First by the sound of it you need to protect your own safety, as it sounds like things could get nasty, and they know your address.
Personally I don't think you have any choice other than going straight to the Police and make an statement before they get their car repaired |
