|
| There is a plastic pipe which comes out of the side of the disposal and turns downward. Then there is another pipe which comes from the second sink tub (on the left of the one with the disposal). It makes a 90 degree turn to the right to meet up with the one from the disposal. Here there is a coupling with three nuts which connect these two pipes coming in to the main pipe exiting (like a splitter in reverse). The threaded joint between the disposal and the coupling keeps coming apart - the two pipes simply separate, but the nut remains screwed on - so I guess it's actually the nut which separates from the pipe attached to the disposal. Much thanks for any assistance. |

| depending on the type of pipes pvc ''plastic'' or metal\chrome. PVC uses inch and 1/2" washers to make a connection. Chrome pipes use a rubber washer of the same size. It's best to buy a dozen washers and replace all of them at the same time. Reason being. if one is bad the others will soon follow as well. |
