Had to drain hot water tank in order to carry out some work in house, after turning back on water i am not getting any water out of hot water taps, i am thinking it is air locked could you please advise me as to how do i get rid of this air lock and get full flow through taps again as far as i am aware it is just the normal domestic hot water tank.
Thank you in advance.

| The easiest way is to link the cold washing machine hose to the hot valve, open the hot bath tap and turn the 2 washing machine taps on (hot first) and see if you can push th air out |

| You could try linking the hot and cold at the kitchen sink, but if you have check valve on the hot pipe as per modern regs it will not work. |

| connect the hot and cold taps together with a peice of hose or if a mixer hold a cloth over the spout and open the hot then the cold |

Another way to do this if you have a mixer bath tap is to open the hot tap and haold ytou hand over the spout of the tap. Then open the cold side. The cold will go back up the hot and can push the air out.
Doesnt always work as well but worth a try and save time linking pipes etc. |

Thats what Kev suggested
No good if check valves are fitted as per the current regs |

Have you got an air vent on the pump.
Let the hand set down as far as it will go turn the valve on and switch between fully hot and fully cold.
With the hand set in the same position turn the pump on and off a few times. |
