Piece a cake, get a builder, I would not recommend you try it without expert help.
The main thing to remember is to notify your insurance Company, because your policy will be void whilst the work is progressing.
Submit plans to your local planning office.
Erect scaffolding, and starting at the top remove chimney, repair roof joists and felt and batten, fit new tiles, carryon taking down, repair ceiling joists and make good ceiling, make good chimney wall if it aint fell down yet and move to the next floor.

You could fit an RSJ or lintel if you had a structual engineer work out the size, the remaining stack would need caping and venting.

If the stack is on a party wall
You will need to involve a surveyor who will carry out a survey of the party wall and draw up a party wall agreement between you and the osner of the adjoining property. |
