Hi,
I have just moved into a house which has oil fired central heating, the boiler is a myson eclipse 40/90. Since moving in a month ago it has used nearly 500l of oil which i am sure is not right. My question is this, is it cheaper to have the hot water and central heating on all the time, so the temperature is just topped up a little when it drops or is it cheaper to only have it on twice a day and heat back up after losing 5 degrees or so. I am sure i must be doing something wrong or have a temperature setting wrong. I have the water boiler in the bathroom set to 60 degrees and the thermostat is set to 20 degrees, but there is also another temperature setting box on the side of the boiler in the garage...?
Any help would be very much appreciated. |
