I moved into a new house recently and on one wall there are 2 blank plates for the option of wall lights to be fitted. I do not want wall lights and the plastic plates look unsightly! I am soon going to buy a large wall mountable LCD TV (which will cover the plates) and wondered if it would be possible for the TV to be wired straight into the lighting circuit to negate the need for visible cables?! I know nothing about electrics (as you can probably tell!) and will obviously be getting the TV installed by an expert, I just wondered if this is theoretically possible? Thanks!! |

It is not advisable to run the tv from a lighting circuit.
It will need to be fed from the ring main via a spur.
