Can anyone help me please with a wiring problem with an 8.2Kw Electric Oven.
I have been told that the appliance requires a 32amp fuse, but I need to know what type of wiring is required and connection to the oven, as the fuse box side will be dealt with by somebodyelse.
Also can the switch to the oven be inside a cupboard or does it need to be surface mounted above the worktop.

The oven will need to be connected using 6mm twin and earth cable.
The isolator needs to be within 3m of the appliance and readily accessable.
Building regs state that it should not be mounted on the structure of the kitchen, but the fabric of the building.

| You will need a 35amp Breaker or fuse. Use #8/3 Romex copper and you can mount a 4/11 inch sq box behind the oven. You do not need a switch @ the oven. Use copper to copper split bolts for your connections. |

This is a UK based forum and the things you are suggesting/listing have no meaning in this country.
By all means answer US based questions that are posted as you will have better knowlege of the systems in place.
Welcome to the forum by the way
