| Hi, i don't know if anyone can help, does anyone know if i can buy a freeview box in the UK and use it in Germany? I have recently moved there with British Army we have the normal 2 channels through BFBS but it isn't enough. It is going to cost us over £300 to have it through Sky so i'm trying to save us some money. Hope somebody can help out there. |

I would very much doubt it.
Freeview channels are transmitted alongside the 'normal' ones not as part of them so unless they are also transmitted in Germany they simply will not be there.
I am of course presuming that you receive the tv signal from a local transmitter and not direct from the UK. |

Get a dish and reciever from ebay and fit it yourself. Then get a sky house card to get all your free to air channels. You would only need the small 42cm mini dish in germany.

| The only problem with that is, they are army housing so we're not allowed to fix satelite dishes or anything but we have 2 large dishes on the building which we have an aerial socket to plug into. |

It needs to be pointing at the Astra sat at 28.2 degrees to get the freeview channels.
