My bathroom ceiling light has stopped working. It's in a sealed unit, the property is 7 years old and operates with a standard pull-cord switch beside the entrance. The ceiling also has an extractor fan which has a separate switch outside the bathroom and I have never had it come on with the light in 5 years and this was also the case when it suddenly stopped working. I have changed the bulb, to no affect. Any clues; is there a fuse I should be looking for, if so, where would it be?
Cheers for any answers or help with this... Confused

I would suspect the pull cord/switch has given up the ghost.
Is the fan isolator on outside the door?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, the fan switch is outside the bathroom and the pull-cord switch is only 6 months old, replaced recently. Now to add to the confusion, in the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom, that ceiling light has stopped working! Shocked

One of the loop feeds has stapped or come loose in one of the fittings/lights. It could be the live or neutral. Get a competent person to look at it asap.

Thanks very much Vince for your answers and advice. I was wondering if your company carries out such repairs or you could recommend a local company. Do I need to check for an equivalent to a Corgi certificate?
Thanks again, and will follow your advice, asap! Smile

With the current work load it would be over 2 weeks before I could get to you, unless it was done out of hours on an emergency call basis.
Follow the link to my website if you need contact numbers.
