I have a solid brick house where the pine end has an extremly lot of weather. In all rooms on pine end there is about 2 foot by 1 foot (floor level) of plaster which is damp, both first and second floor. I have a small dehumidifyer that does work if put in the room of the problem. I have had someone look at the problem and it has been decided it is not the DPC but too much humidity in the home. Built in the 1920'S, upvc windows the house no longer breaths. I want to know what the best solution for a very large 2 bed house (rooms 12x16 feet) would be to cure this problem. I thought of a fan system that goes in the loft or a dehumidifyer that would be big enough for the whole house?????????? Any suggestions. I have tested the rooms with a hygrometer and the mean result is 50-70% at an average tempreture of 21 degrees.
