Recently returned from 2 week vacation to find a sulfur smell when water turned on. I have a water softener and it was low on salt. Filled the salt and the smell seemed to go away. Now, it seems to be returning. Water softener salt appears to be at an adequate level.

ANY help greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Paul

If it smells like rotten eggs it could be hydrogen, caused by corrosion in the pipes, do you get any metal bits when you run the taps.
