Hi
werent sure where to post so put it here ...
Anyhow ive got a wall vent in my front room and it lets a lot of cold air through is there anything i can do to reduce it as it says to not block and ive got a gasfire and back boiler there aswell so i need the vent dont i ?
I do have a digital carbon monoxide alarm with reading on it aswell if thats helps .

Thats why it says do not block, the boiler will not burn correctly without sufficient air.
Digital carbon monoxide alarms are great if your around to hear it, one of this days the manufacturers will have the brains to fit them on their boilers etc so they cutout the appliance if carbon monoxide is detected.

Exactly, there are a few industrial models available, but for the sake of £ 50 quid it should be standard.
One day perhaps?.

Yea true im amazed with all the health and safety regulations there is these days that they've not made it standard to have them fitted into new boilers  |

| You can get a deflector or diverter on the outside so the air cant just blow across but has to go under then in HTH |
