| We booked a holiday package with Expedia Travel for July 2004. We booked and paid last Autumn and received our tickets within the week. All was well until they started to change flight times. Our original flight from Glasgow was 0645 Arriving at 0740 giving us 2h 40 mins for booking in and collecting our luggage as we were changing airlines. They have now changed the time to arriving at 0755 giving us less time. We queried that we were not happy as it was tight enough allowing for additional security and collecting luggage. They said it was non refundable and non changeable. So we went ahead and booked our own flight the night before and a hotel all at our own addiotinal costs. They have since gone on to change almost every flight and connection time and are refusing to change the original tickets. They have now also sais if we do not turn up for the original first flight that airlines will automatically cancel all our other flights. They now say they will change the original flight if we contact them . That is what we wanted in the first place and what they originally refused to do. Are they just using scare tactics about the cancellations? We were only making sure we got through all the addiotnal security checks and getting from one side of an airport to another in time. Bear in mind the original booking was made in Autumn last year. Can you advise? There is also a problem with a short connection time in America but they are refusing to change that also. Our original agreed flights were perfect- hand picked for our requirements- just as Expedia say that is what they are there to do book you a holiday to suit the individual. I know you have to accept some slight amendments but they have been so infexible. |
