I have just had a new bathroom fitted where everything was ripped out and all new pipework installed. However, the flow that comes out of the new mixer taps squirts out in all directions rather than in a nice vertical flow. What is the solution?

If taking the first part of your above quoted post is read literally it implies someone, presumably a proper professional, fitted your taps is correct then the answer to the second part is simple get them back to correct the problem.

Why is it happening? could be faulty taps, could be bits missing, could be incorrectly assembled. Need to see what is happening to be certain.
