Hi please help - not sure if we need a plumber or a drain cleaner.
we have been having a problem with the downstairs toilet for two weeks. I noticed that the water level was low for a couple of days and then it seemed to have risen ( above normal) when the washing machine was used - this is plumbed in the same area as the toilet. We have now had problem with the water level not reducing in the kitchen sink - which is literally feet away from the downstairs loo off a corridor. I noticed that items were popping up out of the kitchen sink - mainly bits of old plastic pipe. It does not seem to be causing huge problems with the upstairs toilet although the water level does appear to be a little lower than it ought to be.
The boiler went off on one occasion, but there is nothing else i can tell you -other than when i tried to use a plunger on the kitchen sink i could hear bubbling noises in the downstairs loo. |

| A plumber if you can find one will be cheaper than a specialist drain cleaner, You could try Handyman in the local rag as well |
