Hi, I am in the process of doing a loft conversion. I have added a ensuite bathroom. I belive the building reg is to add ventilatioon. I do not want to add a ceiling mounted fan, which drives the air out through the roof. I want to know wether there are any kits out there in the market which take the air out via a flexible pipe and relase the air via the eaves/soffit? Im assuming it will be a mechanical ventilation.
if anyone can inform me of any kits or other methods, i will really appriciate it. Thanks |

Hello AKR
I really don't see any problem fitting the vent into the soffit if you can get to it. Just use the 100mm flexible PVC trunking, pull it down through the hole you've cut in your soffit, (be careful, depending on the age of your property it may be asbestos cement board), attach it to a fixed grill vent, push it back in and secure the vent to the soffit. |
