Hi.

We have two showers (both with temperature regulating valves) in our house and after using one shower for a few minutes the water turns cold. I turn on the water in the second shower and it is cold also. However, the water in the rest of the house, where there are individual hot/cold valves, is very hot. Because the problem occurs in both showers (the second shower is like new because we shower primarily in the master bathroom), I do not think it is the valves or any screens within the valves. Individual lines run to each bathroom, and both sets branch from (I think) 3/4" copper close (within 10') to the gas-fired water heater. I know the water pressure from the supply line into the house is much higher than the recommended range (>>75 psi, which is as far as my gage would go; I suspect it to be ~90+ psi), but I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem. Can someone please shed some light on this problem?

Thanks,
Rob
