This `crack` was discovered after stripping wallpaper, its where 2 plasterboard sheets come together and both edges are `pushing` out from the wall.

Do I just scrape out and fill with plaster then sand or should I be doing more?

thanks

How are the sheets fixed, they may have come unstuck if they're pushing out, and really should be fix first, you can scrape the joint out and fill with normal filler using a broad knife or trowel

I think it's quite important or they will crack again.

The joint is where 2 sheets of board come together it is nailed down at the edges and has been taped over it appears that the tape has split, and over the years the gap has widened (60 year old house). There may have been some water damage at some stage and possibly caused slight warping of the edges of the board.

See if you can scrap it back then sand it down and re-scrim if possible

If you have an electric sander take it down just below flush then you can scrim and make good
