Apart from a couple of small areas previously I decided to tackle some walls in a kitchen, I am renting the property and happy enough with the result.
However, this is what I found.
1. After mixing the skim went on ok and I got reasonably flat surface.
2. when going back to where I started to smooth even further this was generally ok.
3 I am probably at the 1 hour stage now after mixing at this point.
4.Some problems were my fault as I dug the float in but was generally ok to sort this.
5.When finished I have noticed some `holes` where it looks like the skim has been pulled out (by me, not fell off)

Is this a timing thing in as much that I need to get smoother sooner?
By the time I noticed the holes the skim was going off so too late to fill.

I will fill the `holes` in a couple of days and sand so that should give a respectable finish, well unless you are a professional skimmer!

Any advice appreciated as I still have one wall to do.
thanks
