I am planning to do a loft convirsion in the near future. I have plenty of head room in my loft however the top two purlins are at different levels .i plan to replace them both the length is about 10m with two supporting walls about 7m apart .The plan is to even up the purlins and increase the head room the house is a 2 bed Bungalow

As this is a structural alteration that you propose your local building control dept will at some time need to be involved.

The best time for that is now, at the planning stage. Their advise is free and will be following a site visit. On a forum there is no way that any advise we give might be relevant to your particular situation. The roof structure is designed around span, timber size, angle together with roof coverings.

You need an expert to visit.
