The circuit breaker in my house trips whenever there is a power cut in the area.

This isn't a problem except when we are away on holiday. The last time this happened we lost a freezer full of food.

Is this common or should I get the circuit breaker replaced?

Thanks

Ron

Is it the circuit breaker or the RCD tripping?

If it is would it be possible to put the fridge freezer on its own circuit from the non-RCD side of the fuse board presuming you have a split load board?

I've just been to check - it's an RCD. Does this make a difference?

Do you have a split load board or does the RCD control every circuit?
