hello...
i live in a terraced ex council house,i have a big problem with condensation on one bedroom ceiling along the outer edge [roof-side],and all the windows upstairs. The condensation is so bad it drips from the celiing and runs down the windows making small puddles it does cause some condensation on downstairs windows but very slight. The strange thing is it only does all the above when the temperature outside drops to about 0 degrees or below..i have double glazed windows and just had fascias done but i have made sure old wooden ones have been removed and they are vented ones. There are so many things it could be the windows dont have trckle vents should i get those fitted the loft is un-lagged should i do that ?? its a hard job to try and find someone who is not going to come into my home and rip me off....[sorry to all honest builders etc... any advice is greatly appreciated

Depends what you call being ripped off, paying the going price or what you think it should be.

When hot meets cold you get condensation, 10" of loft insulation will go a long way to stopping the problem, cavity wall insulation will help as well.

Have a word with your fuel supplier they may even do a grant.
