I moved into my house around 3 months ago and had my conifers lopped off and trimmed back a little. I find now that they are displaying signs of rust ( and its not wind burn ), mostly at the bases, but some further up. I'm told it may be 'Greenfly' is this possible and how could I treat it as I don't want to lose any of them. Di |

Rust is a fungus and can be controlled by regular spraying in the spring and summer.
Ask at your local garden center but in the old days we used "colloidal copper", "zineb" or "thiram"
Badly affected leaves and branches must be cut off and burnt.
For what its worth very common in roses so check them |
