| I hope you can give me some advice on a problem I have at my home. Back in February I purchased a home and was deployed about a few weeks after. Upon my return home I noticed that my outside water faucets were very low on water flow. I called the city to come out and check the pressure coming into the meter and into my home. The pressure coming in from the city line and at my faucet was the same...around 90 PSI. We found that the problem was gallons per minute. We were getting 33 gpm at the street and only 5 gpm at the out side faucets. Oh, and did I mention that I have good pressure and good water flow everywhere inside my home but all four outside water faucets don't have good water flow. I dug up the shut off valve in the front of my home to make sure that it was all the way open and was not leaking. It was all the way open and not leaking. Now here is something that I am not familiar with, I have PCV pipe coming from the meter to the shut off valve and then on the other side of the valve I have copper piping that branches off into two pipes. I guess one pipe for the outside faucet on the front of the house and the other one to allow water for the inside. I called my home owners insurance to have a plumbing company to come out and look at the problem and all they did was charge me my $45.00 deductible and told me that they don't know what it could be...that's the first time they seen something like that. Do you have any idea of what it could be? Thanks in advance. |

Could be a crushed pipe somewhere, or perhaps a blockage. Has the water been shut off for any works lately?
Are there any non-return valves fitted; sometimes they get clogged/jammed. |

Have you checked any jet on the faucets are not blocked or adjustable by turning then one way or tother, could also check there's not a seperate stopvalve for the outside fausets.
You could try blowing the pipe through by disconnecting the faucets after you have turned the water off first then turning it back on.
