hi
i have found a rubus tricolor growing in a friends garden and she says i can take some cuttings but i have no idea how to do this has anyone got any idea

Normal practice is to grow from seed.

Best sown in early autumn under glass (coldframe) Sow the stored seed as early as possible in a cold frame and stratify for a month at 3C if sowing later than February.

Prick out the seedlings and grow on in a coldframe. Plant in their permanent position in late spring of the following year.

Tip layering in July, plant out in Autumn and divided early spring.

Thought your friend had a plant.

Just pick the flowers and stick then in the fridge for a month.

The roots grow on the stem, find one thats planted itself and snip it off Laughing

and plant early autumn
