|
|
I recently bought a brand new house with an attached garage. The concrete or cement in the garage is cracking. The cracks run from wall to wall and some of them are in a semi-circular pattern.
When they built the house, they used a center post to support the ceiling instead of installing regular ceiling beams. One of the cracks starts from the edge on the floor, runs under the support beam and continues across the floor to the other wall.
I have requested that the floor be fixed. The contractors said they intend to "patch" the cracks. I don't want the floor to look patched. I paid for a new house and I want it to look like a new house.
What are the options to fix this problem?
Thanks,

Added to your other questions it sounds like the cowboys built the house.
Dig the floor up and do the job properly comes to mind.
It may pay you to hire a consultant by the sound of it |

I'm not sure what these builders really do for a living, but like you, I don't believe its construction work.
I'll call an attorney and see what my options are. Thanks for your help. |
