| An unmarried couple decides to buy a house and contribute equally to the price. The aunt who will live with them also contributes £50K. I need to advise my client( the women in the couple, not the aunt), who also has two children from a previous relashionship, whether they will inherit anything when she dies, and whether the aunt is protected in anyway, and the process of registration. |

That will take a good Solicitor to work out.
One half of a joint ownership, and I assume that would apply to three joint owners, cannot will their share to a third party e.g. the children, it would automatically go the remaining shareholders.
The same applies if one of the shareholders wanted to sell, it has to go to the remaining shareholders subject to an agreement.
As I said it gets very complicated and can only be sorted by a solictor, maybe even the Courts.
But please remember I'm just a plumber so take the advice for what its worth.
Do let us know how it goes though please |
