I live in a two story home less than 10 years old. There is a noise as if a fan is running when we operate either the shower, washer, dishwasher etc.

We have 3 bathrooms. We live in the country and have our own septic system and well.

I've been in the attic when the noise happens but i thought it was coming from the chimney. After a couple of years of listening to this, my wife now thinks it might be related to the plumbing. It is loudest in the upstairs area in the wall next to the bathroom affected which happens to be on the same wall as the chimney. We think it cycles when our pump kicks on..

Any ideas??
