in in the uk,
both me and a mate went to look at doing a rewire,we took the cover off the old board and seen some cables that looked like pvc singles but shiny coatings on them,the cables looked slightly heavier like 4.0 mm but didnt think much off it,
we took off a couple of switches to investigate and found some single cables in an old conduit system but they looked exactly like double insulated cable but approx 1.5mm in size,both me and my mate who ae both electricians mid 20s have never come across such cable,what is this cable called,it was grey in colour and where it had been stripped you could see the red colour inside the grey
the house is quite old and needs alot of work to modernise,we also found some old v.i.r cable which i have seen a fair bit off but this other cable was just puzzling
there were no earths at sockets lights etc so we will be rewiring the property  |
