i have been having a problem with my electric, the power is out in most of the house. from the begining i thought it had something to do with my ceiling fan so yesterday i was moving around the wires that connect to the light and all the lights came on for a second so i think that is the problem. we took the whole fan completely down but it still dosn't work.do you have any idea how i could go about fixing this. is something wired wrong?

Assuming the house isn't haunted and the wires can't move on there own then the wires would have all been in the right place at one time or it's never work.

You could have a broken wire, faulty switch or faulty fitting, a simple check with a meter would have eliminated the bits that work.

Your best bet would be to engage an Electrician.
