I have a Myson three position valve which seems to be sticking. I have replaced the motor as I thought this was the cause but although I can hear it whirring inside the casing it is not operating the valve and seems to be stuck in the central heating only mode. Is there any way that I can try unjam the valve before replacing it? Thanks

If it is actually 'whirring' then it sounds more like the gears are damaged. If it was stuck then it is more likley to be silent.

Sorry you need to bite the bullet and buy a replacement valve.
