My boiler's tripped out. It's a Vaillant TurboMax Combi boiler. There's a puddle underneath and water in the casing too. The water is not clean - it looks like it dripped from somewhere. The code is S33, "check air/flue". I've tried resetting it - it goes through the pre-ignition bit (S2 & S3) but always come up with S33

We've had a load of heavy rain, so I'm assuming it comes through the flue (which is vertical through the roof) and blocked it or damaged it somehow. The cowl looks to be in place. The leak is definitely not through the roof itslef - the outside of the flue is bone dry

I've got someone coming out tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience of anything similar

Many thanks for your help (and for your advice on rad valves)

sounds like your condense pipe might be blocked usually either a grey or white overflow pipe!
