Ford Escort 1.8 diesel ex PO Van Problem.
Engine stopped while travelling.
Mobile mechanic checked out,
battery OK
Found no voltage to the starter, bypassed ignition and was able to crank the engine.
Imobilizer light flashing continuously
Tried ignition with all three spare keys,
Concluded that imobilizer module is defective.
Where do I find the module in this vehicle ? |

According to diagram I have it seems to located just in fron of offside door.
If you switch on ignition for at least 1 minute does the led start to flash a code? such as 1 flash followed by 2 (or another number) if so what code seems to be flashing? |

As previously advised I looked under the mats in that area . There is a multi pin plug but no module as such. what does the module look like ?
I'll check on the code tomorrow but today I haven't observed any change in the frequency. It seems to be a steady "blink" |
