the twit i live with has passworded her pc whilst drunk and cant remember what it is
is there anyway round this prob
it had to be reloaded the last time

This is an official Microsoft method if your cohabiter's PC has another user account on it which the password is known for:

If not, then the best you can do is recover her files by removing the hard disk from the pc and putting it into another as a slave - booting into the operating system on the other pc and then copying everything from
[\Documents and Settings\Her Login Name Here\Copy Everything here] (this assumes the disk wasn't formatted with NTFS and the security set to disallow anyone access other than her logon account..) |
