I changed a light fitting yesterday in my toilet. I thought everything had gone smoothly. The new light worked. However, I then discovered that the main lights in the 3 bedrooms and the bathroom are now not working. Why I am confused is that the toilet and hall lights do work and they are on the same circuit as the ones that don't work.
I thought that had simply replaced like for like so not quite sure what I have done to the system or why some are working and others aren't.
Any advice would be welcomed before I remove the new light and/or call out an electrician.
Thanks. |

I would lay money on 1 of the reds or the 2 blacks have snapped when you have put them in the connector of the new light. I afriad it has to come back down.
The lights are on a loop system so when you brake the loop the ones before still work but the ones after wont.
