What size R S J in inches (not length) is suitable to span a 12 ft gap. single brick course supporting wall, one floor above, and possibly some roof trusses.
Three bed semi built around 1930

Same as answer to question in other forum. You really need to see a structural engineer to work it all out. Plus you will need the bit of paper to produce to building control etc.
