What size R S J in inches (not length) is suitable to span a 12 ft gap. single brick course supporting wall, one floor above, and possibly some roof trusses.
Three bed semi built around 1930 |

| Same as answer to question in other forum. You really need to see a structural engineer to work it all out. Plus you will need the bit of paper to produce to building control etc. |
