Hi,
I have a small garden which is overgrown with grass and weeds including the borders. I set to to try and clear it this afternoon but it's incredibly hard work with my fork. I have absolutly no clue about gardening and I wondered if anyone could help me out with some advice of how to make it easier, it's not going to be done otherwise!
Thanks

Think how fit you're going to get Laughing Laughing

Do an area at a time when the sun shines Cool and it soon starts to show an improvement.

Other than that do what I do and have a chat with an old boy who loves gardening, my neighbour uses my garden as an allotment Laughing Laughing

Psssssst, he even gives me tomatoes, lettuces, potatoes etc as a thank you Rolling Eyes

Do you want a blank canvass?
If so, go to your local garden centre and get a good weedkiller. Read the packs though. You want one that doesn't remain in the soil. Apply it, and a week later just rake away the dead stuff, a quick forking over and raking and you are ready to go. Sounds easy doesn't it!! Laughing
Otherwise, check your local paper. There is bound to be a " No job too small" gardener who will do it, and you could probably negotiate down to £5.50 an hour, and depending on the size of your garden and your level of enthusiasm, that could be £33 well spent!! Cool
