Hello, I want to fit my alarm myself as it's too expensive to get it done professionally, the instructions are easy to follow I have knowledge of electronics, but the problem is power (mains) I got wih my alarm a 3a fuse and back box, could I run a cable from a single socket outlet and connect it directly to the 3amp box then from 3amp box to alarm panel?.
to get a breaker and isolator switch fitted by an electrician it would cost £85 (I have already spent hundreds on this alarm!), If i need a breaker and isolator switch from the main feed could I fit it myself? like I said I have abit of knowledge of electrics? thanks in advance.

You can take mains from where you like provided its protected, it must however be wired in accordance with the Mls instructions.

What I can't understand is why you didn't go for the wireless model at half the price and simple to fit.
