Hi

We have an 80sqm office that I need to redecorate - I'm hoping someone can help me choose a colour scheme for the walls because colour is not my natural strength.

Firstly there are a few things I can't change about the office:

The office is a rectangle - as you walk in there is a conference room in one corner of the rectangle (it is separated by a solid wall and glass from the rest of the office).

We get lots of light - we have a wall of glass to the outside.

Carpet tiles are being used they are a very dark grey.
Ceiling is white (the stuff with holes in it).
Desks are black.
We have 3 aqua coloured filing cabinets (which I can 'hide' if their colour is a problem).

Firstly - I'm not sure if we should do a single colour or a couple of different colours on opposing walls and secondly I have no idea what the wall colour(s) should be.

Any thoughts on colour schemes that aren't too cold-feeling?

Assuming you have valuble staff working in the office.

If it was me I would ask them for some input into the colour scheme.

I have asked the team but haven't managed to reach consensus - without going into specifics about the colours each person selected the comments I've had back about what people don't want are:

... a warm colour but not yellow
... not red because that gives me a headache
... don't do purple
... don't pick a boring done to death colour (I'm assuming this means terracotta).

What we've all agreed is that we want to add a bit of buzz / energy without being too out-there.

Any suggestions?

Mint green or any shade of pale green is very relaxing, less stress means happier workforce.....Dai
