Hi,
Currently I have a 22mm cold feed to my bathroom. I wish to extend this up 1 floor to a new shower room.
Could you please advise if a shower mixer requires a 22mm or 15mm cold feed connection?
Also if 15mm is the standard where would it be advisable to reduce the 22mm pipe to 15mm. In the bathroom (source) or shower room (destination) ?
Many Thanks

Not enough info.

What type of shower, make and model.

Is the cold mains or tank.

Where's the hot.

If the cold is tank fed it would be better to cut in a tee at point where it goes to below against going back up.

Shower would be 15mm or 22mm depending on type.

Thanks for the reply,
I have not purchased the shower yet. I wanted to run in the plumbing for it so I could complete some redecoration. However it will be mains pressure as I have a combi boiler and no storage tank. The hot comes out of the combi as 15mm so I will just tee of this for the shower feed. No pipe conversion issue with the hot feed.
I was hoping the cold feed pipe size to a shower would be a standard pipe diameter.

It the hot is 15mm then keep the cold 15mm, you must try to get an equal pressure between the hot and cold.

Although I haven't fitted any there are showers specialy made for combi's.

Mira and Aqualisa are among the best.
