I am in the process of remodelling my kitchen and I need to remove a section of baseboard forced hot water heat. I know how to do the actual pipe cutting and plumbing but I do not know how to drain the zone so that I can do the work. I also would need to refill the zone once the work is complete. Any suggestions?

Absolutely None, with the information to hand.

Baseboard I assume is the floor boards, but whats forced hot water, whats the make and model of the boiler.

Is the system open vented or sealed.

Need to know the whole system, zone valves, cylinder type, unvented or tradional, storage tanks, water pumps, the lot.
