ok my sister has had her car pinched, she has the insurance company ringing on monday to take her details but when getting her mot out she found it ran out 11 days before the car was stolen Crying or Very sad

what happened was, she sold the car to a friend and put a fresh mot on it for them, although the mot still had 3 months left on it.

now as we all know you dont get a reminder about the mot like you do tax, so she marks the expiry date on her calendar. which was marked on for when it originally ran out (3 months after she got the new mot)

well she ended up buying the car back off her friend and forgot that she had mot'ed the car before the old mot was up hence meaning the new mot ran out sooner than the last mot marked on her calendar

she has had the car pinched and found the mot has ran out Rolling Eyes

can anybody offer any advice please as she stands to lose the payout and will be unable to buy a new car without it being a single person household
